My name is Michael J. Vizina. I was born and raised in Northern Michigan and absolutely love the area. I graduated from Inland Lakes in 1975, during which time I met the love of my life. I continued with my education and graduated from CMU in 1979. I then married the above mentioned love , Karen J. Covert on May 23, 1980. We have 5 mature and responsible sons, 4 daughters-in-law and 7 wonderful grandchildren. Sadly, Karen passed in 2015. Our family is the center of my life. We enjoy hunting, snowmobiling, golfing and boating together, as well as family get-togethers and more.

At the prompting of my father, Bert A. Vizina, I obtained my real estate license in 1978 and thus began my second passion in life-Real Estate, family being first. I truly love my profession. I started with Red Carpet Kiem and then became owner/broker of Coldwell Banker Northern Lakes with Vern E. and Joanne M. Sutton from 1991 to 2014.

I am proud to say that my son, Darren M. Vizina, obtained his real estate license in 2003 and facilitated the opening of the Indian River branch of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Michigan Real Estate. I joined Darren at Berkshire Hathaway in 2014, where I am currently Broker/Associate.

I am very knowledgeable of the surrounding area as well as real estate and by-laws, which gives me a competitive edge in assisting my clients. I strongly believe in the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, which ensures all customers and clients receive the best service available.
